Queries Sent to Search Partners
When you enter a name, location, or other term into a search box, the query passes to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Miami-Dade County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's handling of a query is governed by its own policies.
Emails and Contact Messages
We retain information sent by email or through a contact form for the purpose of reading and answering the message. We do not disclose a contact submission outside our organization unless a valid legal requirement compels disclosure.
Technical Visit Information
Standard web and analytics systems may record basic technical details when a page loads. Those details can include:
- The internet protocol address used for the request
- The browser name and version
- The device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- The date and time of the request
Cookies and Browser Controls

Privacy Beyond This Site
Links may lead to the MDCR custody and release search, Miami-Dade Clerk records, Florida Department of Corrections portals, federal custody locators, and outside search tools. Once you follow a link, the destination's privacy terms control its collection and use of information.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize activity across more than one website and select interest-based advertising. That tracking occurs under the partner's technology and policies, not as data stored directly by this site.
Limited Data Recipients
We do not sell personal information. Data may be available to a limited set of service providers or authorities when needed for the functions described here:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics providers that measure visits and performance
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
We use standard, reasonable practices intended to protect information under our control. No website, transmission method, or internet-connected system can be promised as fully secure. We therefore cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or a data breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request its deletion.

- Provide a copy of personal data we hold about you
